Providence Point is proud to announce that it has successfully achieved a deficiency-free annual Skilled Nursing survey, an accomplishment that reflects the organization’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care, safety, and service to its residents. Conducted by state surveyors from the Department of Health, annual surveys are unscheduled comprehensive evaluations that examine every aspect of a skilled nursing facility’s operations. The areas assessed include resident care, clinical practices, infection prevention, medication management, dining services, resident rights, and overall quality standards. Receiving a deficiency-free survey means that surveyors identified no areas of non-compliance—a distinction achieved by fewer than 3% of nursing homes nationwide.

Attaining a deficiency-free health survey is both challenging and significant. Survey teams conduct a thorough review of policies, procedures, documentation, resident outcomes, and daily operations, often over several days, while interviewing residents, families, and staff members. The rigorous nature of the process requires consistent excellence across all departments and every level of the organization. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork demonstrated daily by Providence Point’s caregivers, nurses, support staff, leaders, and physicians, all of whom share a commitment to delivering the highest standards of person-centered care.

“This achievement is about much more than successfully navigating a survey. It is evidence that we consistently live out our mission of Life Uplifted—enhancing the quality of life, dignity, well-being, and experience of every resident, family member, and colleague we serve. Every interaction, every act of kindness, every clinical intervention, and every behind-the-scenes effort contributes to uplifting lives and creating a community where residents can thrive,” says Michelle LoBello, Executive Director. Providence Point celebrates this milestone while remaining focused on its mission of enriching the lives of older adults.
