President's Message
In 1910, the Baptist Orphanage and Home Society of Western Pennsylvania began. So much has changed over the past 111 years. In the 1970s, we made senior care our full focus.
Baptist Homes added a nursing center, the HUD Senior Housing Building, and more. Baptist Homes Foundation became a separate, critical entity. Our Continuing Care Community, Providence Point, became a reality and we’ve launched three separate senior-oriented services.
Over that time, we never lost sight of who we are and our greater purpose. We are rooted in a Christian heritage of compassionate care that values and seeks to improve the life of each individual we serve.
Today, Baptist Homes and Providence Point are well-established and respected 5-star healthcare and senior living communities. Yet, most people are unaware that the two are part of the same organization that set the standard for care in our area for over 100 years.
We are about to change that with Baptist Senior Family, a name that will encompass all of our current locations and services; Baptist Homes, Providence Point, Providence Point at Home, Baptist Management Services and Providence Home Care. And all future entities. This new name, paired with the theme,” Lives. Uplifted.” speaks to who we are and why we exist. Our organization is truly a family of compassionate individuals committed to caring for and uplifting those we serve, one individual at a time. This was our history. It is our present. Most definitely, it will be our future.
